What Lacty is

Lacty is reference information, with sources, about whether medicines, skincare, supplements, food and habits are compatible with breastfeeding. It isn't personal medical advice, it doesn't give doses, and it doesn't replace your doctor, midwife or pharmacist. Always talk to a professional before starting, changing or stopping a treatment. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Sources and AI

Answers come from public sources such as LactMed (NIH), official product information and Open Food Facts. Some are AI summaries not yet reviewed by a pharmacist, and the app says so. Lacty AI can make mistakes. Product data can be incomplete or out of date: always check the box and the leaflet.

Free plan and full Lacty

You can use Lacty for free, with limits. Full Lacty is offered as a monthly subscription or a one-time purchase through Apple. The subscription is charged to your Apple account and renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel it in your iPhone Settings. Apple handles refunds under its own terms.

Acceptable use

Do not use Lacty unlawfully, access our systems without permission or interfere with the service. Data offered under open licences may be reused and redistributed under those licences; these terms do not restrict those rights.

Liability

Lacty is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for health decisions made on the app's information alone. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. For any question, write to hi@eiraslabs.com. Apple's standard licensed application end user licence agreement (EULA) also applies.

Photos you contribute

Only submit a photo you took or are authorised to share and license. You keep ownership of the photo, and grant permission for public use under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0). Attribution will read “Photo by a Lacty user, CC BY-SA 4.0”, link to the licence, and note that the image was cropped. This permission covers the rights you hold in the photo; it does not grant rights in trademarks or other third-party rights, including a manufacturer's rights.

You can withdraw a contribution and we will remove our hosted copies and the photo from the catalogue. The CC BY-SA 4.0 licence is irrevocable for copies other people have already received, so we cannot remove copies they have redistributed. To withdraw a photo, use the app or contact hi@eiraslabs.com.
